How I've grown as a learner !
In the past year at Animas High School I have grown in so many ways. I have learned about myself, how I learn, and how to interact with the people around me in a school environment. In my opinion, the single most important change that I have made is learning how to be an independent learner. Before I had to have someone leading me on the path of my work and I felt that I needed to constantly check to see that I was on the right course. Last year through project based learning, I learned to be more exploratory in tackling assignments, I gained greater confidence in my work, and I worked much more independently. Project based learning is how I learn best as it allows me to draw on my creativity. Because of the Animas HIgh culture I have also learned a difference sense of school community. I value the Animas High emphasis on respecting everyone in the school and I have learned to treat everyone at school as my friend. Animas is amazing and I feel fortunate to be apart of this community, to be able to contribute and to grow as a learner through the experience of project based learning.
